From the American People

I am thrilled to report that The Toa Nafasi Project has recently caught the eye - and support - of former United States Ambassador to Tanzania (2009-2013) and current Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Alfonso E. Lenhardt.

In a recent letter of endorsement, Deputy Administrator Lenhardt writes:

"I commend The Toa Nafasi Project for the education reform work it supports in Tanzania.  I have seen firsthand the benefits of the work that you do to improve the lives of children.  I especially admire The Toa Nafasi Project's efforts to assist children with learning difficulties, and I commend your attention in ensuring these children are not left behind...."

Just as we are settling into "winter break" over here in the Southern Hemisphere, it's nice to be able to plan ahead for the second half of 2015 and the growth to come with these strong words of encouragement.

Vumi especially, after hearing that Mr. Lenhardt was hand-picked for his current position by President Obama, became very excited....  I do believe she is planning her outfit for the next White House State Dinner....!

Seriously though, everyone at Toa Nafasi is extremely gratified by this approval and further compelled to do even better work in the months to come.
